PEX Crimp Ring Removal Tool

Instruction Guide
This tool will remove copper crimp rings and allow reuse of the fitting. It is effective on brass and plastic fittings.
DO NOT USE ON STAINLESS PINCH CLAMPS OR
STAINLESS STEEL SLEEVES. THIS TOOL WILL CUT
COPPER CRIMP RINGS ONLY. CAUTION: WEAR SAFETY
GLASSES DURING TOOL USE TO PREVENT EYE INJURY
1. Cut tubing close to end of fitting with PEX tubing cutter or
other method being careful not to damage fitting.
2. Insert the ring removal tool anvil into the end of the fitting.
Center the cutting blade over the copper crimp ring.
3. Close tool to cut ring. A gap is designed into the tool to
prevent damage to the barbs of the fitting.
4. Open tool and position it in an area directly opposite ofthe
initial cut.
5. Close tool to impact copper ring causing it to butterfly.
Remove the copper ring from the PEX tubing.
6. If unable to remove fitting from PEX tubing, insert the anvil
into the fitting and score the tubing in six equal locations
along the outside of the PEX tubing. This will cause the PEX
tubing to expand and allow removal of the fitting.
7. Inspect the fitting for any marks on the barbs or deformation
of the inside diameter of the fitting. If marks or deformations
are observed, discard the fitting.

Warranty

When properly maintained and used as intended, the PEX
Crimp Ring Removal Tool is warranted against materials and
manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year from date of
purchase. This Warranty does not cover defects or damage
arising from improper installation, lack of or improper
maintenance, improper storage or handling, ordinary wear
and tear, misuse, abuse of accident of use with unauthorized
products of parts. Liability is limited to repair or replacement
of product of component parts which are determined
defective as covered by this Warranty.
