Water Filter Cartridge Installation and Replacement

(For CW530J models)
The Water Filter Cartridge is recommended to change after 6 months of operation to ensure
the quality of water supply and prevent any risk of illness or poisoning damaged to your
health.
Please change Water Filter Cartridge to a new one when The LED of Filter Change in
Operation Panel turning on in orange. (Page 23)
To change the Water Filter, follow these steps:

1 Shut off the main water supply valve to the refrigerator to replace the Filter Cartridge.
2 Lift up the Filter (less than 90 degrees), turn the Cartridge quarter of a turn to the left and
take it out of the Head Filter.
3 After remove protective cap on Filter Cartridge, insert the new Filter Cartridge into the
Head Filter, turn it quarter of a turn to the right until it stops, and take the new Filter
Cartridge with the Head Filter out of Sub Bracket Filter to outside.
4 Temporary stop the connection of Water Filter and refrigerator by dissembling the
white Tube B out of the new Water Filter.
5 Aim the new Water Filter into a bucket, turn the water supply tab on and run the water
through at least 12 liters (12 qt) of water. Once complete, turn of the water supply tab.
Purpose of these actions is to flush the new Water Filter of any trapped air, avoiding water
dripping.
6 Reconnect "Tube B" to Water Filter. Note to firmly fix "Tube B" with the Joint Crip. Insert
new Water Filter back to the Sub Bracket Filter (referred to Installation Step 9 in Page 16).
7 Turn on main water supply valve to the refrigerator.
8 Reset LED of Filter Change on Operation Panel (Page 33) and run water through the
Water Dispenser for approximately 3 liters (3 qt) to purge the system and to check for
leaks.
