    INTRODUCTION This manual describes how to handle edito KSM thermal printers (hereinafter referred to as printer), specified AC adapters, specified AC cables, and other accessories. Read through the "2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS" and "3. OPERATING PRECAUTIONS" carefully before using the printer, and handle it safely and properly. Keep this manual in a place where it can be accessed quickly.

    Handling precautions DANGEROUS If following instructions are not followed, this leads to fire, electric shock or to an accident. Do not insert any foreign objects such as a piece of metal or any liquid into the products. Do not touch the metal parts of the terminal, AC plug, and DC plug. To avoid short circuits, prevent terminals of the products, AC plug, and DC plug from touching any conductor such as metal.

    5.10 Adjust tension unit to paper roll position The tension unit separate by start of printing the first inertia torque of a bigger paper roll from the printing unit (by using a spring). This is important to get a good print quality. Default setting is the paper comes from the top.

    Paper Output Module The way of the paper is monitored after printing continuously with sensors up to the bezel. If the paper output is hindered, the paper forms a loop upwards, moves a flap and printing will be stopped. If the paper way is free again, the flap falls back and it is further printed.

    Presenter & Retract Module This describes two different module: 1 Presenter module KSM347P 2 Retractor module KSM347R (is including presenter) For module KSM347P/R: The ticket is held after printing inside the Presenter module. Two optical sensors detect the exact position of the ticket. Is the first edge of the ticket before or after the counter rolls? Function: If a ticket is printed and the first edge is short before the counter rolls (LS1), the drive roller begins to turn so long as LS2 detect the ticket edge.

    8.4.1 Retract Function Only for Retract Version KSM347R: For the present function, it is the same functionality as for the Presenter module. The Retract module has the same size as the Presenter module, so you can install easily one type or the other type in the same application.

    8.4.2 Function internal print Only for Retract Version KSM347R. For internal printing, the mechanical switch plate (called switch) is driven by motor and open the paper channel to print direct in the collection basket under the printer. After printing, the switch comes back under it’s own weight.

    Paper Holder with flex paper channel The paper holder with flex paper channel is inserted into a horizontal slot at the back of the printer. From the bottom of the printer, the bracket is firmly fixed through a spacer bolt. This will also be used to securely fix the complete printer on the base plate.

    Paper arm The whole paper arm can be mounted on the right as well as on the left side to the flex paper channel. For change, remove 2 screws (A) (see also 5.3 Attach paper arm) and mount the arm at the opposite side with the same screws.
