Use the Heated Throw Blanket

  1. Connect the power adapter to a power outlet. The whole LCD display screen will light up in 1 second, indicating the screen is working. Then the screen backlight will turn off and the blanket enters standby mode.
  2. Press the ON/OFF (Power) Button to turn on the blanket with default temperature of "H" and timer of 3hrs.
  3. Set Temperature Level: Press the Mode Button. When "H" starts to flash on the top left of the screen, press the Temp Button to select temperature from 1~9 & H levels (highest level: "H"). After the selected level flashes 5 times and stays solid on, the temperature level is set successfully.
  4. Set Auto Off Timer: Press the Mode Button. When "* hrs" starts to flash on the bottom right of the screen, press the Timer Button to select timer from 1-3hrs. After the selected time flashes 5 times and stays solid on, the auto off timer is set successfully.
  5. After all settings are done, the blanket will start working. But the screen backlight will turn off in few seconds. Press any button to turn the backlight on again.
  6. To turn off the blanket, press the ON/OFF (Power) Button when the screen backlight is on.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Be sure to disconnect the appliance from the mains by removing the plug from the power outlet and cooling it down for at least ten minutes before cleaning.
  • Use only a soft brush to clean the blanket when dry.
  • DO NOT use strong detergents or hard brushes to clean the blanket.
  • Gentle Machine Wash: Select Gentle Cycle for Wool, detach the control connector, place the blanket in the laundry bag, then wash at maximum of 40°C/104°F.
  • Untangle the cable from time to time.
  • When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down. Store the unit in a clean and dry place.

Note:

  • The connector of the controller and the blanket must be interconnected before plugging the appliance to a power source.

  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to rig this safety feature.
Problem Cause Solution
The appliance does not warm up. The appliance is not connected to power. Insert the power plug into the power socket and switch on the appliance.
The appliance is not switched on. Switch on the appliance.
The appliance is defective. Please contact Homech customer service.
The letter "P" is shown on the controller display screen or the display does not light up. The blanket part and the controller are not correctly connected. Unplug the power plug, properly plug the blanket into the controller, reswitch on the controller.
The appliance is defective. Please contact Homech customer service.
The letter "E" is shown on the controller display screen. The blanket/ controller has overheating protection.

Unplug the power plug, spread out the blanket and let it cool down, then re-switch on

the controller. If you can not troubleshoot, the blanket is damaged.

The blanket heating element has been damaged due to overheating, the controller has blown the OverTemp thermal fuse. The blanket is damaged. Need to be scrapped.
