PRODUCT MUST BE CONNECTED TO A WIRING SYSTEM WITH AN EQUIPMENT-GROUNDING
CONDUCTOR.
TO AVOID EXPLOSION:
MAKE SURE THE SUPPLY VOLTAGE IS WITHIN THE VOLTAGE RATING.
ENSURE THE MARKED T RATING IS LESS THAN THE IGNITION TEMPERATURE OF THE HAZARDOUS
ATMOSPHERE.
DO NOT OPERATE IN AMBIENT TEMPERATURES ABOVE THOSE INDICATED ON THE PRODUCT
NAMEPLATE.
DO NOT OPERATE IF THE LENS, CORD, SEALS, HOUSING, RECEPTACLES, ETC. IS CRACKED OR
DAMAGED. IF SO, DISCONTINUE USE AND CONTACT MANUFACTURER FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS.
ALL FASTENERS SHOULD BE PROPERLY SEATED.
The Larson Electronics EPF-LPSM Series is an Explosion Proof Exhaust Fan for Class I, Division 1 & 2 rated flammable
sites. This wall-mount fan features internal mechanical and external fixed louvers. The 650 CFM unit is weather resistant
and can be used with toxic gas sensors (not included).
MOUNTING
Always follow all applicable local and national electrical and building codes when installing this unit. We
recommend only a licensed electrician install this unit, particularly in hazardous locations, or in areas where the
unit may come into contact with water.
This exhaust fan is designed for wall mounting applications facilitated by a sliding collar. The unit must fit in a 12.25" x
12.25" opening with 1.5" to 8" thickness during installation.
• Start by marking out and creating the opening in the wall/panel the fan is to be mounted to.
• Remove sliding collar and slip fan into opening in exhaust orientation, louvers should face downward.
• Place sliding collar around fan from the rear and slide into place until firmly against the wall.
• Use screws or other appropriate mounting hardware to secure front fixed louvers and rear sliding collar to hold fan in
place. Mounting hardware is not included, but is available for purchase from Larson Electronics if needed.
WIRING
We strongly encourage a licensed electrician install this product, in all locations, especially in outdoor areas where
weatherproofing may be required.
Warning: Check product label for correct input voltage!
Attach supply line wires to the appropriate light fixture wires as shown in
the diagram 
Secure each pair of wires according to the diagram. Utilize a junction box or similar device and take precautionary steps for
weatherproofing all connections if installed in a location where water may come in contact with the unit. Ensure the unit is
properly grounded and that wiring is done according to all local and national electrical/building codes. Take any explosion
proofing measures necessary to maintain ratings for the hazardous area the fan is mounted in, as outlined by NEC.
Refer to the wiring diagram included with your unit if needed.
