A: Some ISPs identify their clients by the accessing MAC address and the host names, therefore, entering these information is the process required to prove they are who they claim to be.
  • Page 61 Appendix Q: What is Dynamic DNS? A: The Dynamic DNS service, an IP Registry provides a public central database where information such as email addresses, hostnames, IPs etc. can be stored and retrieved. This solves the problems if your DNS server uses an IP associated with dynamic IP.
