Congratulations!
You have just acquired the model submarine "Galathée", it is a crewed exploration submersible. We hope that this model will give you as
much pleasure to build than to sail.
Design features:
Length: 540 mm
Width: 118 mm Height: 157 mm
Weight: 4 kg
Materials: PVC and PS
Autonomy: Approximately 2 hours
Operating mode of the Galathée submarine:
The Galathée submarine is a static diving model. To dive a gear pump fill a ballast tank inside the dry hull. The air in the ballast tank is
compressed by the water.
Tools necessary:
Side Cutter
Mini Drill (Dremel or similar)
Set of files of various sections (round, punts and square)
Sanding paper grain 240, 400, 600
Soldering iron (min 25 watt)
Set of Screwdriver
Set of grips
Products necessary:
CA glue
Silicone sealant
Mastic polyester
Paint (yellow or other)
Recommendation concerning the radio order:
4 Channel R/C systems
3 servos (standard size, ball bearings is preferable)
1 electronic speed controller 10 Amps (minimum)
This model is not appropriate to the children of less than 14 years!
Before beginning the assembly of your model, checks all parts, read the instruction carefully beforehand.
Remove each parts from the plastic sheets only when you use it for the assembly of the model (the best way is to mark the corresponding part
number on it).
Caution: For reasons of safety the battery of the submarine need to be charged only when the dry hull is open.
Paint
You can choose the colour of the model.
The most important issue is to prepare the hull properly for painting (use mastic polyester to mask the enclosures).
The surface of the hull must be sanded.
