General

The Alecto Digital Bath Thermometer allows GB you to not only easily, quickly and accurately measure the temperature of the bathing water, but also the environmental temperature.

Temperature

The temperature of the most pleasant bath for your child is usually between 36.0°C and 38.0°C.

To measure the temperature:

  1. Tap the thermometer on a flat hand to switch it on. The display will indicate the temperature in °C. If the temperature is too low, the COLD icon will appear.
  2. Immerse the bath thermometer into the water while filling the bathtub.
  3. Read the thermometer on the display as soon as the number of degrees no longer changes.
  4. The thermometer switches off automatically after an hour.
  5. Dry and store the thermometer.

Battery

A long-life buttoncell is already installed in the thermometer.
This battery will power the thermometer for up to 24.000 measurements (calculated with an average of 30 seconds per measurement).

Low temperature alert

For temperatures of 32°C and lower, will appear in the display.

High temperature alert

For temperatures of 39°C and higher, the display will indicate a flashing - temperature. The built-in LED will start flashing in red.

Power supply

The thermometer is provided with a long-life coin cell battery. This battery lasts for approximately one year when performing a daily measurement of one hour.

To replace the battery

You may replace the battery as follows:
Replacing the battery

Use a coin to rotate the battery cover anti-clockwise. Insert a small screwdriver into the cut-out to remove the cover. Install a new battery (CR2032) with the positive side up. Replace the cover and use a coin to rotate the cover clockwise.

Ensure that button cell batteries are NEVER swallowed by babies or young children. Keep (button cell) batteries far away from babies and children at all times and always discard used batteries at a dedicated collection point. If you have any doubt about your baby or child having swallowed a button cell battery, immediately consult your doctor.

Cleaning & maintenance

  • After each use, clean the metal contact of the thermometer with a soft, moist cloth or rinse in water.
  • Never boil off the thermometer, never wash it in a dishwasher, never place it into a microwave or high-frequency sterilisation oven and never clean it with chemical cleaning solutions.
  • Never expose the thermometer to high temperatures.
  • Never store the thermometer in direct sunlight or near heating equipment.

Always use under supervision of an adult and only use in water in which children can stand.

At the end of its lifespan, this product may not be discarded as regular household waste. It must be brought to a collection facility for the recycling of electric and electronic devices.
