OPERATION
Generally,
the
Remote
Control Hand
Unit is all you
need
to
operate
the TV
set.
TO TURN THE TV SET
ON
Press
the
POWER
button to turn the
TV
set
on. The
picture
of
the previously tuned channel will appear in
a
few seconds. The
channel number
will
be
displayed
on
the
TV
screen
for
a
few seconds as shown.
To
turn the
TV
set off,
press
the button
again.
TO
SELECT CHANNELS
Using
the
CHANNEL NUMBER (TEN KEY) buttons.
Use
these buttons
to
directly select
the
channel
you
want.
a.
To
select channels
2 through 9, two methods are
available.
Example
:
To
select channel
4.
One-digit
entry
-
Press
"4". Channel
4
will
be selected
within 2
seconds.
Two-digit
entry
-
Press
"0" and "4".
Channel
4
will
be selected immediately.
b.
To
select channels
10
through 99,
the two digit entry must be
used.
Example
:
To
select channel
38.
Press
"3" and "8", and
channel
38
will
be selected immediately.
lf
second
digit is not
pressed
within two
seconds, channel
3
will
be
selected.
Note
:
lf
you select channels that are
not
within the
capability
of
this
TV
set,
such as
84,
90
etc.,
the set will automatically select channel
2.
Using
the
CHANNEL UP
/DOWN
V
buttons.
Press
and
release
the
CHANNEL
UP
a or
DOWN
v
button.
The set
will
select
the
next
active channel.
lt will
not stop at inactive
channels.
Press
the button
again
to
select
the next active
channel.
The channel number display
will
remain
on the
screen
for
approx.
2
seconds.
TO ADJUST THE
VOLUME
To increase the
volume,
press
the
VOLUME
UP
A
button.
To
decrease
the
volume,
press
the
VOLUME DOWN
v
button.
Press and
hold either button until you obtain
the
sound level
you wish. You can
see what
level
by
watching
the
RED
bar on
the
15-bar
range displayed
on the
screen
as
shown.
After you
adjust the
volume,
the display
will
remain
for
approx.
2
seconds.

Note:
These
buttons
will
operate
as
the picture control buttons while the display
of
the picture settings is on the
screen.
