  • Page 11 The interconnection fabric is comprised of the network components that connect the thin clients to the server. The Tadpole M1400 has a 10/100 Ethernet port as well as a built in wireless card for wireless connections. In addition, the Tadpole M1400 supports a number of mobile broadband devices via the Express card/54 slot or USB ports.

  • Page 15 Default Ethernet configuration DHCP The Tadpole M1400 Thin Client notebook’s default configuration or ‘profile’ is to connect via DHCP to a Sun Ray server, provided the Ethernet cable is connected. No further configuration is required depending on your Sun Ray server configuration.

    Each profile can be configured to attach to both a wired network and a wireless or mobile broadband network, provided the connectivity to the Sun Ray server is identical. If the Ethernet cable is not present, the Tadpole M1400 will connect via the wireless or mobile broadband network.

Older off-the-shelf wireless routers tend to perform less reliably when running graphics-intensive programs via wireless.
