READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Assembly

  1. Place support beam on base with notched side against the motor housing.
  2. Attach arm by resting metal rod on top of support beam with the bearing sheath resting in the top notch of the beam. Screw into motor housing.

Using the machine

  1. To attach cup compress springs by hand and slide cup onto arm. It may be necessary to use the inside of the cup to help compress 1-2 springs while your hand compresses the rest.
  2. Plug USB into power source.
  3. Turn Speed Adjustment Dial to desired speed setting.
  4. When done slide the cup off the arm.
  • If you'd like to remove the arm with a wet cup attached, hold the disc very securely while unscrewing with downward pressure. This is to prevent the cup from falling when the arm unscrews. If the bottom of the cup is undecorated, it is helpful to support it from the bottom with a few fingers while unscrewing.
  1. Always unplug the tool before changing cups.
  2. After use, unplug the tool and store away, out of reach of children.

Making a simple glitter tumbler

  1. If using a translucent or light color glitter it is recommended to spray paint your tumbler with a similar color or a white base so the glitter color will look its best.
  2. Secure tumbler onto machine.
  3. Apply glue to the tumbler; turn machine on and off to rotate tumbler and work in small sections at a time.
  4. While glue is still tacky, sprinkle glitter over the tumbler while it rotates, stopping the rotation as needed to cover the entire tumbler. On average 1 oz. of glitter is needed per layer to cover a 16 fl. oz. tumbler. Amounts will vary depending on glitter and tumbler size and desired effect.
  5. Wait for glue to dry completely. Apply additional layers of glue and glitter as desired.
  6. Mix epoxy according to instructions provided with the product. On average you will need 2 fl. oz. of mixed epoxy for one layer on a 16 fl. oz. tumbler. More or less may be required depending on tumbler size, glitter size, decorating technique, etc.
  7. Apply epoxy to the tumbler a section at a time by pouring onto your tumbler and smoothing to the rim and base using a popsicle stick or gloved finger. Rotate the cup to apply to every section. Continue applying and spreading until you have an even application. It is recommended to keep the cup spinning as much as possible to reduce drip-off.
  8. Once you have finished applying, spin tumbler on low until epoxy is dry to the touch (approximately 6 hours). This time varies with different epoxy brands. Check your product's instructions for accurate cure times.

Tips:

  • Use low speed setting to evenly dry epoxy.
  • Use high speed setting to keep runny mediums from dripping.
  • It is recommended to place newspaper or a drop cloth under cup to protect tool and work surface.
  • After extensive use rotating arm may become loose. Tighten by rotating Ridge Base clockwise.
  • Cleaning epoxy from your machine:
  • Scrape as much material as you can from the surface using a stiff metal or plastic scraper.
  • Clean the residue with lacquer thinner, acetone, or rubbing alcohol (follow safety warnings on solvents, and provide adequate ventilation).
  • Once the epoxy is removed, use a clean, wet cloth to remove any remaining solvents from the surface to avoid damaging, stripping, or corroding the machine or arm.

Troubleshooting

  • If rotating arm falls off, be sure to tighten before each use and check occasionally while the arm is rotating to ensure the arm is secure. Additionally, prop up the end of the base opposite the motor housing to counteract gravity and keep the arm from unscrewing.
  • If medium is sliding to either end of cup, prop up corresponding end of Base to even out pooling.

  • Weight limit for Spin It is 13 oz. (368.5 g).
  • Do not use with cups that hold more than 32 fl. oz. (946 mL).
  • Do not use the Spin It with objects taller than 8 inches (20.32 cm).
  • Avoid running for more than 6 hours at a time.
  • Keep hair and loose sleeves tied back and away from rotating area.
  • Keep out of reach of children. This is not a toy and not intended for use by children 12 years old or younger without adult supervision.
  • Keep away from water.
  • When the tool is not in use, put it in a dry place and away from children's reach.
  • If the cord is damaged, do not use. Cord must be replaced by manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not force down the rotating arm when it is spinning.
  • Wear eye protection.
  • For domestic use only. Use only for the intended purpose.
  • Check that the voltage on the tool (5V) is same as the source of current at the USB wall charger or power bank.
  • If you are using a power bank, ensure the output current of the power bank is minimum 1 Amp. If the output current is lower than 1 Amp, it may undermine the performance of the tool.
