    Important Safety Information Understand the features of your bicycle and be aware of the challenges that you will meet on the road. Always Wear a Helmet Helmets significantly reduce the number and severity of head injuries! Always wear a helmet that complies with your state laws when riding the bike.

    Battery Pack and Charging Information Installing the Battery Pack Always use two hands to support and lift the battery pack. Insert the key, press in and rotate to the UNLOCK position. Slide the large end of the battery at an angle onto the frame. Guide the battery over the connection box on the bike frame and push down to lock into place.
  • Page 7 Battery Pack and Charging Information Fuse If the battery pack becomes overheated, the fuse will blow. Unscrew cover to access old fuse and replace with a new 30A fuse. (Two replacement fuses are included.) Connection Jack Lift cover to access charger connection.

    Operation — Power Switch Push to turn. The key must be pushed in while turning. Locked Insert the key, press in and rotate to the ON position. Switch to the LOCKED position to turn the power off and keep the battery pack locked to the frame. (Note that the bike can still be operated manually by pedaling.) Switch to the UNLOCKED position to turn the power off and to release the battery pack from the frame.

    Bicycle Fit A bike that’s too big or too small for the rider is difficult to control and can be uncomfortable. WARNING: If your bike does not fit properly, you may lose control and fall. If your new bike doesn’t fit, return it to your dealer. Stand-Over Height The first check for correct size is stand-over height.
  • Page 11 Bicycle Fit Tilt Adjustment Some riders prefer to have the saddle nose slightly tilted up or down. Adjust the saddle tilt by loosening the clamp- ing mechanism, tilting the saddle and retightening the saddle clamping mechanism enough so that it cannot be moved by aggressive force.

    Brakes must be adjusted to allow you to adequately slow down and stop when the brake lever is squeezed. Your local bike shop can help you adjust your Sharper Image Electric Cruiser brakes and fittings and The Sharper Image will reimburse you up to $50 to have this done for the first time. Save your receipt and call 1-800-344-5555 to receive reimbursement.

  • Page 15: Rear Wheel Removal And Servicing Your Electric Cruiser

    This bike should not be operated if any part appears to be worn, cracked or otherwise weakened. Most bicycle shops will be able to provide the normal servicing required for the Sharper Image Electric Cruiser. We recommend that you have the bike professionally serviced at least twice a year.

    The Sharper Image will repair any defects in materials or workmanship. In the event repair is not possible, The Sharper Image will either replace this product with one of similar features and price, or refund the full purchase price of the product, whichever you prefer.
