Instructions

The Manfrotto Maxima is powered from a rechargeable lithium battery and provides continuous light output with flash function capability.

The battery will last for 1:30+ hours at 100% intensity. Battery life is extended when the fixture's intensity is dimmed.

A 5VDC – 1A universal power supply is included to charge the battery. It is recommended to fully charge the Maxima fixture prior to its initial use. To charge, plug in the power supply – the flash indicator button will light up.

A discharged battery will require 3 hrs. charging time to attain 80% capacity and 6 hrs. for 100% capacity. A full charge is realized when the flash indicator button goes "off".

To engage and control light output, simply turn the dimmer control knob to the desired output level. Reverse this procedure until it "clicks" to fully turn off the Maxima.

To utilize the flash feature, plug the included Strobe Sync Cable into the designated input jack on the back of the Maxima unit and the other end of the cable into the DSLR cameras sync input jack.

Next, press and engage the flash indicator button on the back of the unit. A red light will indicate flash function readiness.

When the camera's shutter button is pressed, the flash will be activated. For continuous light output (no flash), the Strobe Sync Cable must be unplugged from the input jack on the DSLR camera.

When initially turning on the Maxima, you may see a quick flash of light. This indicates that the flash feature is working properly.

The flash feature is fully functional with the dimmer is set at any light level (100%0%). The flash will be 4x brighter than the highest light output level (constant light at 100% output).

An adapter is included for mounting onto the camera shoe mount. The adapter allows tilt adjustments of the Maxima fixture.

To attach the adapter, slide it onto the Maxima fixture and secure it with the "wheelnut". Next, attach the fixture & adapter to the camera shoe mount and securely fasten it with its dedicated wheel-nut.

Filters are provided in ¼ warming, diffusion and full correction (daylight →interior) and are included to effectively manipulate the image. Slide the filters individually or in combination under the clear faceplate.
