SYSTEM MAINTENANCE -
Replacing the filter cartridge
Clear the space under your sink around the
filter system. It is advisable to put a cloth or old
towel on the area beneath the cartridge and
tap pipework to catch any water leakage.
Before installing the cartridge it is advisable
to write in the provided space on the label,
the next Cartridge Replacement Date.
1) Lift the mini tap lever to the 'continuous
flow' position.
2) Turn off the mains supply, wait for the
remaining water in the pipes to flow out of
the tap and then turn the saddle valve
lever clockwise to the 'closed' position

which will isolate any remaining water.
The flow from the mini tap should cease.
3) Disconnect the red and blue pipes from
the filter cartridge by pulling back on the
small push-fit rings (collets) and pulling
out the pipe.
4) Take the new filter cartridge and fit it into
the bracket and connect the blue and red
pipes as in the Installation Notes.
5) Turn to saddle valve lever anti-clockwise
to open the mains supply to the system,
water should then flow from the mini tap.
Follow the previous installation notes to
check the system and flush it prior to using
the water.

Water Pressure:
Minimum - 20 psi (1.4 bar)
Maximum - 125 psi (8.62 bar)
Temperature:
Filter cartridge to be installed on cold
water lines only - temperatures must
not exceed 100º F (37.2º C)
Note: Activated carbon cartridges will
contain a small amount of carbon fines (very
fine black powder). A new cartridge, after
installation, should firstly be flushed with
water for 5 minutes, then left for one hour and
flushed again for another 5 minutes to
remove the fines before using the water.
Note: Following periods of non-use (such
as a holiday), the system should be flushed
thoroughly. Leave the tap running for
approximately 5 minutes before using the
water.
