- Page 3 THE MOTOR OF THE GRIPPERS The motor that drives the grippers is made up (as you can see in the image below) of two distinct parts: the motor and the plastic block that contains a cascade of gears, namely the reducer. A reducer is used to reduce the output rotation speed on the axis: without it, the motor would rotate too quickly, making it impossible to use.
