RACER Tech – RZR STEP BAR Installation
Thank you for your purchase! We hope you will find this product as useful as we have. This is a
pretty straight forward installation but here are some guidelines to help you along:
1. Remove the stock plastic rocker panels (black panels below the doors). There are some
plastic two-piece rivets and a couple screws holding these on. The rivets come out by prying
up the center pin half way out and then prying the outer pin up and out. There are four screws
per side that bolt upwards into the chassis as well.
2. Once the rocker panels are removed you will see the small brackets the factory uses to mount
and secure the rockers to the fenders. There is one at the front and one at the rear of where
the rocker panel was. Remove these but keep them and the screws near by as you will reuse
them. NOTE: Take notice of how these are orientated and which is front and rear for
reassembly.
3. The upper mounts of the step bars mount on the same holes the bracket you just removed use.
You need to hold the bars up in place to line up with these holes, then put the factory back
over top of the new brackets and reassemble with the factory screws.
4. Once the upper mounts of the step bars are locked in place, the lower mounts will be located
where you need to drill four new holes thru the frame per side.
