    Place a few flat washers or any other item that can be used to raise the foot of the LiftGator. This will cause the LiftGator foot to be raised on one side, and the LiftGator hitch to point more towards the ground. Once you have that foot high enough, you can re-apply the skate nut.
  • Page 9 Open your tailgate slowly to make sure that it does not contact any part of the LiftGator. Also, you will want about ½” an inch to ¾” of an inch between the tailgate and the edge of the platform.
  • Page 10 Use the platform switch to lower the platform so that view is not obstructed when driving. LiftGator Removal: To remove your LiftGator, raise the stabilizer legs (if they are not already) as high as they can go and put the skates back on. Screw the T-handle into the hitch pin.

    Lifting Operation: Once the LiftGator is installed, lower the platform so that you can easily access the tailgate latch to open your tailgate. Bring the platform all the way up and unlatch the platform. At this point the platform will probably be a few inches above your tailgate.
  • Page 12 Lower the platform until it is even with your tailgate. Load your cargo from the bed of the truck to the LiftGator platform. Lower the platform all the way to the ground and unload your cargo. WARNING: Elevated objects run the risk of falling from the platform and causing serious injury, or even death.
