Lightweight plastic external box with USB interface intended for 2.5" SATA drives. In external box there is a fixed attached flexible USB cable that enables direct connection to notebook without any need for another cable. The case can be very fast opened without undoing any screws. The One Touch Backup feature also makes the external drive an easy-to-use backup device.

HARD DRIVE ASSEMBLY

  1. Open the lock on the back of the box cover (Fig. 1).
  2. Then remove the back cover by pulling lightly in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 2).
  3. Insert the hard drive into the SATA connector on the motherboard of the box (Fig. 3).
  4. Install the front cover again and close back cover by pulling lightly in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 4).
  5. Close the lock on the back of the box cover (Fig. 5).

CONNECTION

  1. Connect the case to the computer with the USB cable supplied; you can do it also while your PC is running.
  2. The case with disk is detected and installed automatically.
  3. Check the correct installation in Device Manager (Fig. 7).
  4. Initialize the new disk and format it in Disk Management (Fig. 8).

INFO

  • When connecting via USB cable, the hard drive is always detected automatically (Plug & Play).
  • If the hard drive is detected in the Device Manager but is not displayed in the My Computer folder, check its allocation in Disk Manager.
  • The box has two LED indicators. The green LED indicates the connection of the box and the flashing red LED indicates the process of data transmission.

DISCONNECTION

  1. If you want to disconnect the case with disc, make sure that data copying has been finished and that the data transmission indicator (red LED) is not flashing. Then you can disconnect the case.
  2. However, the safest method for removing from the computer is the utilization of Safely Remove Hardware function in Windows operation system (Fig. 9). We recommend you to use this method as well.

DATA BACKUP

To use backup feature by OTB button, backup software must be installed.
On the CD supplied in the directory: EE25-XP\Backup\ launch the file Cabinet.exe and install the application Cabinet for data backup (Fig. 6).
