(Place the defective main board in the protective wrapper and return it to EXOGAL.) Once the bad board is returned to EXOGAL another good one will be sent to you.

BACKPANEL REPLACEMENT If you need to replace the back panel, remove the 8 screws on the XLR and RCA connectors. Then, remove the Trigger Output cable and the SPDIF cable from the Main Board.Note that on both cables, the RED wire is Pin 1. Also remove the Bluetooth antenna connector from the main board.

LCD DISPLAY MODULE REPLACEMENT To replace the LCD Display Module you will need to remove the main board as described earlier. It is not necessary to remove the back panel from the main board in order to replace the LCD Display Module! Once the Electronics Assembly is removed, the LCD module is removed by simply pulling it off of the main board.

REMOVING THE ACRYLIC BOTTOM Remove the Bottom Assembly as described earlier. Place a towel or rag onto your work surface to avoid any scratches from the metal parts inside the Bottom Assembly. Once the Bottom Assembly is removed, set it down on the towel. Remove the four (4) flat head hex screws with a 5/64” hex driver. Lift off the old acrylic base.

“pivot” the bottom down onto the Comet chassis. It may be necessary to flex the back panel out in order to properly seat the bottom on the chassis. Reinstall the six (6) screws on the bottom and the five (5) screws on the back panel and the Comet is back together.
