LOCATION OF THE WATER HEATER UNIT Econergy® water heater units are designed to be installed outside, in the ceiling cavity (if one exists), under the house or in a garage, adjacent to the hot water cylinder (HWC). The Econergy® water heater should not be located within living areas as the unit produces cold air.
Distance from Hot Water Cylinder The Econergy® water heater should be mounted as close as possible to the HWC to ensure best efficiency. RING MAIN MANAGEMENT (OPTIONAL) A ring main should not be used on an Econergy cylinder setup without management unless it is operated from a separate cylinder. Ring main management is a software update that can be installed during production.
