  • Page 2 UK I NTERNAL ODEM PGRADE ROCEDURE SCOPE 3. Disconnect all cables from the backplane. This procedure covers required tasks to be performed for a UK Internal Modem Field Upgrade. These tasks encompass removal and re-installation of the power supply assembly, surge board, all plug in cards, the card cage insert, and the backplane board.
  • Page 3 UK I NTERNAL ODEM PGRADE ROCEDURE 8. Remove the 8 screws that attach the backplane to the rear of the card cage insert and remove the backplane. 9. Insert the New Backplane, PN: 09600-01024, and reinstall the 8 screws. Step 14 - Attach power supply wire harness to J8 on backplane.
  • Page 4 UK I NTERNAL ODEM PGRADE ROCEDURE Step 19 - Re-connect External Phone 16. Re-connect Control Panel Cable ( 09600-00010) Cable to J1 on the Surge PCB. to P6 on the backplane PCB. Step 18 - Reconnect Telephone Cable to J2 on the Surge PCB. Step 16 - Re-connect Control Panel Cable to P6 on backplane PCB.
