AutoFlamm Tester 3.4.2 Software Setup The AutoFlamm is supplied with software that control the device to perform tests and process test results and reports. Computer is not supplied; please refer to section 2 “Specification” for the detailed requirements of the computer system. 1.

AutoFlamm Tester 3.4.5 Gas Burner Installation 1. The AutoFlamm is supplied with two Gas Burners (M233A/10 and M233A/11), both burners can be interchangeably installed on the burner holder, see section 3.3 for Gas Burner selection. 2. Switch OFF the power and gas supply before Burner Holder changing the gas burner.

AutoFlamm Tester 4. Launch the software, pick the desired standard. Mount the appropriate specimen holder or template on the Pin Frame (refer to test standard) and hook the frame up (place) on the AutoFlamm. 5. Insert the correct spacer on the burner (refer to test standard) and press [Run/Set] on panel to move the burner to the ignition position.

AutoFlamm Tester 5. The Height Gauge is installed nearby the burner, depends on the standard 45 mm going to be conducted, the flame 40 mm height can be adjusted by [Gas Regulator]. Note that the flame height may be affected by the pressure of the gas supply.

AutoFlamm Tester 3.4.8 Marker Threads Setup The AutoFlamm has two sets of Marker Threads, one set (three vertical and one horizontal markers) is at distances of 5 & 15 mm from specimen face. Another set (three vertical markers) is at distances of 1 & 5 mm (BS 5438:1989 & EN ISO 6941) from specimen face (see detail in standard).

AutoFlamm Tester 4. Before attaching the trip threads, the appropriate pin frame with specimen (refer to standard) should already be fitted to the main frame. 5. Take a length of thread that is slightly greater than twice length of distance to be travelled across the vertical length of frame.

AutoFlamm Tester 9. Secure one end of thread by pushing it into the slot of the thread (spring) clip (either right or left side), take it around the upper notch, then lead it through and around the lower notch. The thread comes back and must be secured to the clip of the micro-switch.

AutoFlamm Tester 3.4.9 Radiator Assembly Setup (Optional) The Radiator Assembly is an optional accessory of the AutoFlamm for use in the EN 13772:2003 testing standard. The radiator is made with a ceramic material and will radiate heat over a circular area. It is located at the back of the specimen. 1.
AutoFlamm Tester 4.0 OPERATION 4.1 Setup for Testing 1. These procedures do not cover any detailed requirement on sampling of specimen, pre-conditioning, definition of test condition and result evaluation…etc. As this may vary for different testing standards, user should refer to the details in the appropriate standard or procedure.

Because of the relatively harsh environment to which the pins are likely to be exposed, some will eventually require replacement. This can be done simply by tapping out damaged pins and replacing. Sharp pins and blunt stub pins are available from SDL Atlas.
