INITIAL START UP Hot Plates To "dry out" the Hot Plate, set the thermostat dial at 250°F and turn on the power switch. Allow unit to cycle at least 15 minutes at this heat level. Reset the thermostat to 350°F allowing the same time. Then reset the thermostat to 450°F allowing the same time. -
