Thank you for buying Havells appliance. To enable
your product to give you many years of perfect
trouble free service, we
recommend you to
carefully follow the instructions of the manual.
When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
Do's
Read all instructions.
This product is intended for household use only.
Read and follow all the instructions in this
"operating instructions" even if you are familiar
with the product, and find a place to keep it handy
for future reference.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the sections
concerning "important instructions", and The
"Warranty".
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
or knowledge unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
immerse or expose the product or flexible cord
to rain, moisture or any liquid other than those
necessary for correct operation of the product.
This product should not be used in the immediate
vicinity of water, such as bathtub, washbowls or
any other vessel containing water or other liquids,
or when standing in/on a damp or wet surface.

Switch off and unplug from outlet when not in use,
before assembling or disassembling parts and
before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug
and do not pull on the cord. . Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning
appliance.
Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
Make sure the voltage in your outlet is the same
as the voltage indicated on the appliance's rating
label.
Extreme caution must be exercised when moving
an appliance.
Don'ts
Do not operate any product with a damaged cord
or plug, or after the product malfunction, or is
dropped or appears damaged in any way.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table,
counter or touch hot surface.
Do not use the appliance for other than its
intended use.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when
switched on.
Do not operate or place any part of the product
on or near any hot surfaces (such as a gas or
electric burner or hotplate or in a heated oven).
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table
or bench or touch any hot surfaces.
The use of attachments or accessories not
recommended may cause personal or property
hazards or injuries.
Avoid touching hot surfaces, use cool touch
handle.
Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself,
instead take it to the authorised Havells service
centre.
Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Read all instructions carefully and keep the manual
for future reference.
• Remove all packaging
• Clean the Cooking Plates by wiping a sponge or

cloth dampened in warm water.
• Do not immerse the unit and do not run water
directly on the cooking surfaces.
• Dry with a cloth or paper towel.
• For best results, lightly coat the cooking plates with
a little cooking oil or cooking spray.
Notice: When your Sandwich Maker is heated for
the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odour.
This is normal with many heating appliances. This
does not affect the safety of your appliance.
HOW TO USE
• Close the Sandwich Maker and plug it into the wall
outlet, you will notice that the power light will on,
indicating that the Sandwich Maker has begun
preheating.
• It will take approximately 2 minutes ~ 4 minutes to
reach baking temperature, the ready light will also
go on.
• Open the lid, put the bread other foods on the
bottom cooking plate.
• Close the lid. The ready light will go off again.
• Cook for about 2 minutes to 4 minutes, the ready
light goes on again, or until golden brown, cook for
the time to suit your own individual taste.
• When the foods is cooked use the handle to open
the lid. Remove the foods with the help of a plastic
spatula. Never use metal tongs or a knife as these
can cause damage to the non-stick coating of the
cook plates.
• Once you are finished cooking, disconnect the
plug from the wall outlet and leave unit open to
cool.

CLEANING AND CARE
• Always unplug the Sandwich Maker and allow
it to cool before cleaning. The unit is easier to
clean when slightly warm. There is no need to
disassemble Sandwich Maker for cleaning. Never
immerse the Sandwich Maker in water or place in
dishwasher.
• Wipe cooking plates with a soft cloth to remove
food residue. For baked on food residue squeeze
some warm water mixed with detergent over the
food residue then clean with a non-abrasive plastic
scouring pad or place wet kitchen paper over the
grill to moisten the food residue.
• Do not use anything abrasive that can scratch or
damage the non-stick coating.
• Do not use metal utensils to remove your foods,
they can damage the non-stick surface.
• Wipe the outside of the Sandwich Maker with a
damp cloth only. Do not clean the outside with any
abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will
damage the finish. Do not immerse in water or any
other liquid.
• Do not place in the dishwasher.
STORAGE
• Always unplug the Sandwich Maker before
storage.
• Always make sure the Sandwich Maker is cool and
dry before string.
WARRANTY
Havells provides a two year warranty* for this product
from the date of purchase against manufacturing
defect'(s) due to defective materials or workmanship.
If the product become defective within the warranty
period, Havells will repair, free of charge.
The warranty provisions do not cover failure due
to accident, misuse, abuse, negligence or non-
observation of local regulations on part of the
user. The warranty provisions do not apply where
the appliance has been serviced by a person not
authorised by Havells or serviced with non-approved
parts thereby causing further fault/damage to the
product.
ENSURE FOR WARRANTY
Retain the warranty card duly filled in and stamped
by authorised dealer along with original invoice/cash
memo.
The warranty applies only if the product is used for
personal/ domestic purpose.
