Gravity centre testing device

I. Use
The device is designed to test safely a location of gravity centre
of athletics hammer heads (shot puts). The hammer head (shot
put) stays securely on the device during testing procedures, even
if the result is negative and the hammer head or shot put falls
off the testing edge. According to the competition rules of the
International Association of Athletics Federations (Competition
Rules 2014-2015, Rule 191.5) the gravity centre of the hammer
head should be not more than 6 mm from the centre of the
sphere.
II. Testing
After unpacking the device is ready for use. Place the hammer head (shot put) on the cylinder of the device.

Press the lever all the way down - the
steel sleeve (diameter 12 mm) lifts the
hammer head (shot put) from the
edge. If the hammer head (shot put)
stays on the sleeve, it complies with
the IAAF rules.
