Power supply

pTo save power when the unit is not to be used for a long time, unplug the AC adaptor from the household AC outlet.
pThe batteries are drained if you leave the AC adaptor connected after recharging is complete. When finished recharging, unplug the AC
adaptor from the unit.
pAC adaptor standby power consumption: 0.1 W

Using the rechargeable batteries

Press to
open the lid.
Press the tab firmly,
and lift upwards.
pYou can recharge the batteries before they are fully discharged.
pFit the battery lid so it is secure and flush with the battery
compartment. If it comes loose, it may scratch your discs.
Dry cell batteries (not included)
Press and open.
Insert
batteries.
"LR6, AA" alkaline batteries
pYou can get extended play time by using the dry cell batteries together
with the rechargeable batteries in the unit.
(The unit will also work when batteries are in the case only.)
The battery indicator
(This indicator appears when the unit is on.)
pBefore playing starts the battery indicator level may temporarily
go down or flash although the batteries are not drained. It appears
correctly once you start play.

Using on a flat stable surface at 25 GC (77 GF), all sound quality effects are
canceled, Hold is on, Anti-skip is on POS 1 (CD-DA) and recommended bit rate
(MP3: 128 kbps). Play times are in hours and approximate.
pThe play time may be less depending on the operating conditions.
pPlay time will be considerably reduced when playing CD-RW.
