Place the handset on the cradle of the base unit
for about 15 hours before initial use.
L A beep will sound, and the following will be
displayed for an instant on the base unit.
Base unit display:
The display will show the date and time.
L If the base unit is in use, a beep may not
sound and the message may not be shown.
Note:
L Clean the handset and the base unit charge
contacts with a dry cloth once a month, or the
battery may not charge properly.
L The battery cannot be overcharged.

Battery life
If your Panasonic battery is fully charged;
the battery life will last up to 5 hours while in
use (in conversation).
it will last for up to about 11 days while not in
use (off the base unit).
L Battery life may vary depending on usage
conditions and ambient temperature.
Recharge
Recharge the battery when:
the handset beeps intermittently while it is in
use, or
the following is shown and "1
on the handset display.
Handset display:
L Recharge the handset battery for more than
15 minutes, or the display will continue
showing the indication.
Automatic security code setting
The security code helps to avoid unauthorized
use of your telephone line by another cordless
telephone. Whenever you place the handset on
the base unit, the unit will automatically select
one of more than a million security codes.
