User manual Epiphan video – Pearl mini
This device can be used to record videos and to change the layout of your livestream. Livestream must
be requested in advance through the classroom booking unit.
Important!
To be able to use the device and the video recordings, you must log in once on Kaltura,
which you can find in the tools menu of Toledo.
- Touch the screen.
- Go to the home screen, if you
do not see the screen as shown
on the picture, press the
"home" or "back" button.
- Press the shown button to
adjust the layout of your
recording. During the lesson
recording, the layout can also
be
adjusted
through this
button.
- Select your desired layout
from the list (1), press "apply"
(2) and then press "back" (3).

- Page 2 - Press the indicated “event” button to start setting up for your recording. - Press “Create Event”. - Press on the indicated window to log in with your e-mail address “example.ex@kuleuven.be” or Q number “q#######”, then press “next”. (Important! The Q number is not the same as your U number and you can find it on your Toledo profile)
- Page 3 - Now you can change the duration of the recording, by default it is 125 minutes, during the session you can NOT extend that duration. Press “Start” when you are ready to start recording. - If you want to adjust your recording layout during the recording, press the indicated screen, the home or back...
