CHOOSING CORRECT LOCATION FOR THE THERMOSTAT

The thermostat should be located in the room where the heating/cooling is to be controlled. The place of installation should be chosen so that the sensors can measure the room temperature as accurately as possible, without being affected by direct solar radiation or other heating or cooling sources. The mounting height should be approximately 1.5 meters above the floor. The unit can be fitted directly on the wall.

DEFINITION

The RA310 programmable thermostat has been designed for controlling the room temperature automatically. It has two working mode, cooling «» and heating «». The daily temperature setting can be defined for each 30 minutes interval, dividing 24 hours in 48 time-scales, choosing between 2 temperatures: Comfort temperature «» and economic temperature «».

Note: Be sure to connect all the wires as per the wiring diagrams and keep it away from water, mud and other material so as to prevent the unit being spoiled!

OPERATION

TURN ON/OFF:
Press On/Off button to turn on. Press the button again to turn the thermostat off. When it is turned off the LCD will display the room temperature, date and time.

MODE SETTING:
Under power on status, press "M" button to enter into cooling mode. To go back to heating mode, press "M" button again. Factory default is heating mode.

SETTING TEMPERATURE:

COMFORT TEMPERATURE SETTING ()
In power on status, press the "M" and «» buttons together for 5 seconds to enter into setting menu, then press the «» or «» button to adjust the comfort temperature. Press the « » button to go back to the homepage. If not, the thermostat will go back to the homepage after 10 seconds. Factory default value: 21ºC.
ECONOMIC TEMPERATURE SETTING ()
Under power on status, press the "M" and «» buttons together for 5 seconds to enter into the setting menu, then press the «» or «» button to adjust the economic temperature. Press the «» button to go back to the homepage. If not, the thermostat will go back to the homepage after 10 seconds. Factory default value: 16ºC.
PROGRAMMING THE TEMPERATURE
To define 48 time-scales during 7 days, press «» to turn on the thermostat. The LCD will display the room temperature, date, time and thermostat running mode. Press the «» button for 5 seconds,"Mon" will be displayed on the LCD. Then press «» or «» to select the time-scale and press the "M" button to select «» or «» mode. After finish the Monday setting, press «» button, the LCD will display "TUE", set the time-scale working mode as previous process; Wednesday to Sunday's setting process is same as Monday. Under this mode, thermostat works in individual programming temperature of each day. If you want 5+2 days 48 time-scales mode, press the «» button, until "Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri" is displayed on the LCD. Then press «» or «» to select the time-scale and press the "M" button to select « » or « » mode. Press the « » button, until "Sat, Sun" is displayed on the LCD. Then press «» or «» to select the time-scale and press the "M" button to select « » or « » mode. Press the « » button back to go back to the homepage after you have completed the setting. In this mode, from Monday to Friday the thermostat works in the same programming temperature. On Saturday and Sunday the thermostat works in the same programming temperature.

HOLD FUNCTION:
Under 7 days 48 time-scales mode, continually press "M" button to enter into HOLD mode, LCD will display "HOLD". Then you need to press «» or «» to adjust setting temperature. The thermostat will work in manual mode permanently.
To go back to 7 days 48 time-scales mode, continually press "M" button again.

MANUAL FUNCTION:
In 7 days 48 time-scales mode, press the «» or «» button to check the setting temperature of the present time-scale. Then you need to press «» or «» again to adjust the setting temperature.
The manual mode will be kept until the setting changes the status, from «» to « » or from « » to «».

CLOCK CALIBRATION:
In 7 days 48 time-scales mode, press the «» button. Then the weekday will start blinking. Press «» or «» to adjust Mon to Sun. Press «» again to adjust the time "hh: mm". The hour will start blinking, then press «» or «» to adjust it. Press «» again to adjust the minutes. When the minutes start blinking press «» or «» to adjust them. Finally, press «» to keep the setting data and exit clock calibration mode.

TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION
Under power off status, continually press «» and «» button together for 5 seconds to enter into temperature calibration menu, press «» or «» button to adjust the calibration value, complete the calibration after 30 seconds.
Built-in temperature sensor calibration's setting range -9~9 ºC. Display temperature=Actual temp+ Temp calibration, for example: actual temperature is 25 ºC, temperature calibration is -2 ºC, the display temperature is 25-2=23 ºC.

OUTPUT CONTROL SIGNAL:

HEATING MODE
- If the room temperature is 0.6ºC (or switching differential setting value) lower than the setting temperature, the heating equipment will be work until the room temperature reaches the setting temperature.
- If the room temperature is higher than the setting temperature, the heating equipment will not work until the room temperature is 0.6ºC (or switching differential setting value) lower than the setting temperature.
COOLING MODE
- If the room temperature is 0.6ºC (or switching differential setting value) higher than the setting temperature, the cooling equipment will work until the room temperature reaches the setting temperature.
- If the room temperature is lower than the setting temperature, the cooling equipment will not work until the room temperature is 0.6ºC higher (or switching differential setting value) than the setting temperature.

SWITCHING DIFFERENTIAL SETTING:
Under power off status, press "M" button for 5 seconds to enter into switching differential setting menu, press«» or «» button to adjust switching differential value. Factory default value is 0.6ºC.

RESET TO DEFAULTS:
Press the "Reset" button to make the thermostat restore to factory settings. This button is at the top of the thermostat.

LOW BATTERY ALARM:
LCD will display "LO" when the batteries are running low.
