After installing the motor, the prow of the boat may sink or float. A correct heeling angle depends on the boat characteristics, the size of the outboard motor, marine conditions and load. Pay attention to adjust the heeling angle to the conditions every single time. In this type of outboard motors, the heeling angle is adjusted manually using the locking rod in appropriate positions.
