Operating Instructions for JSS-3/6/12 Jack Stands
Never exceed rated capacity of the stand.
Use stands only in pairs.
Always make sure both stands are set at same height and holding dogs are fully engaged.
Use stands only on hard and level surfaces.
Always center load in saddles.
Always use in locations specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
Never crawl under a vehicle to place a stand.
Always lower a vehicle slowly.
Failure to heed all of the above warnings may cause serious injury and/or property damage.

Prior to Operation
1.
Check to make sure retaining tab on stand collar is bent in to keep rack bar from being pulled out. If tab is not bent in, bend
using a punch and hammer. See Figure 1.
2.
Check stand for bent, worn, loose or missing parts. Discard any stand that is damaged, badly worn, or operates abnormally.
Operation
1.
Raise vehicle to desired height. Vehicle must be stable with wheels blocked and parking brake set.
2.
Extend both stands to same desired height. Confirm that holding dogs are fully seated in rack bars.
3.
Place stands under support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
4.
Carefully lower vehicle onto stands with support points centered in saddles. Make sure vehicle remains stable.
Stand Removal
1.
Confirm vehicle stability. Make sure wheels are blocked and the parking brake is set.
2.
Carefully raise vehicle just enough to clear stands. Make sure vehicle remains stable.
3.
Remove stands and carefully lower vehicle to the floor. Do not crawl under vehicle to remove stands.
4.
Use release handle to lower stands to their lowest height.
Lubrication
Lubricate release handle pivot points with motor oil.
Repair
Replacement parts are not available for this stand. If repair is necessary, discard stand and replace.
