To change the battery for Massimo Motor part number Y540125715, follow these steps:

1. Safety First:
- Wear personal protective equipment: eye wear, face shield, apron, and rubber gloves.
- Work in a well-ventilated area away from open flames or ignition sources.

2. Remove the Old Battery:
- Open the engine cover and locate the battery tray under the air filter, near the engine transmission on the driver’s side.
- Disconnect the battery terminals in this order: negative (black) cable first, then positive (red) cable.
- Use an 8mm box end wrench to loosen the cable clamp nuts.
- Remove the rubber battery strap and lift the old battery out.

3. Install the New Battery:
- Place the new battery into the battery tray.
- Secure it using the rubber battery strap.
- Connect the cables in this order: positive (red) cable first, then negative (black) cable.
- Tighten the cable clamp nuts using an 8mm wrench without using excessive force.

4. Charging (if needed):
- Use a 12VDC, 1A (minimum) charger.
- Connect charger cables: red to positive, black to negative.
- Set charger to 12VDC before turning it on.
- Charge at 0.9 amps for 5–10 hours. Quick charging is not recommended.
- Do not charge if battery temperature is below 3°C or if battery becomes hot.
