There are levers on each side of the shelf near the rollers. Left the lever on the left hand side and push down the lever on the right hand side to remove the shelf from the tracks. This Allavino Wine Cellar has 12 shelves that can hold up to 11 bottles each and 2 shelves that can hold up to 20 bottles each. -
