VERTU Sink Care Instructions
General Sink Cleaning Instructions
PEARL® NuGranite™ sinks are manufactured with our customers in mind. We strongly
recommend reading through the following to understand the causes of stains and
scratches and how to maintain the look and shine of your sinks.
1. Clean sink regularly with a mild detergent solution and/or clean water applied with a
soft cloth or sponge and rub gently. By cleaning on a regular basis, milder cleaning
options are available, which will also prolong the life of your sink.
2. Rinse and wipe the sink dry after every use to prevent water spotting and mineral
deposits in severe hard water conditions.
3. Deep clean once a week with a recommended cleanser and a soft cloth or sponge.
Care Instructions for NuGranite™ Sinks
PEARL® takes pride in manufacturing our sinks to the highest possible standards. The
NuGranite™ collection of granite sinks are made from a cutting edge hybrid polymer
material that consists of fifine granite granules and velvet acrylic resins.
NuGranite™ sinks are made differently from stainless steel and ceramic sinks. In terms
of materials, it is made from extremely hard wearing material, which means that any metal
pots, pans, or cutlery dragged across the surface will leave marks on the surface. These
marks are actually microscopic metal deposits transferred from the metal objects. This
can be removed easily by scrubbing them away with an abrasive pad and kitchen sink
cleaner. In the event of an impact, the hardness of the NuGranite™ sinks may be
damaged as well.
Accessories such as stainless steel grids, which is included with all our NuGranite™
sinks, and a selection of other sink models can be used to avoid direct contact with
sink surfaces.
Wash NuGranite™ granite composite sinks with warm, soapy water and clean with a soft
nylon brush. Dry the sink with a clean cloth. Keeping the sink dry reduces the chance of
mineral scale build-up. NuGranite™ can withstand temperatures up to 250°C. However,
some pots can reach much higher temperatures. Contact with extremely hot pots and
pans should be kept to a minimum.
Scratch and Stain Removal
Your NuGranite™ sink can be susceptible to scratches or staining from mineral deposits
like calcium in your water. If you know you live in an area with a lot of minerals in your
water, avoid water from soaking in your bowls or the mineral can deposit on the surface of
your sink and cause a visible stain.
