INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Read Carefully Before Use !
Users info VERSION Nº1 (2nd of July of 2021).
EC-type Examination is carried out by the notified body:
ENGLISH
Notice of use:
Description and characteristics: this equipment has been made as safety lanyard and complies with EN 354 (Lanyards) and EN 795B (anchor devises) and CEN TS 16415 (multi person usage simultaneously). This
equipment consists of load bearing yarns as a core, and outside tube, which gives to equipment the compact shape and protects the core. The breaking strength of this equipment exceeds all requirements of above
mentioned standards and is more than 40 kN.

Material:

Outside Sleeve- Polyester sleeve webbing with elasticated weft. Any color of the cover sleeve will be allowed.
Internal Core – 100% Para-aramide yarn.
It is essential for safety to verify the free space required beneath the user at the workplace before each occasion of use, so that, in case of fall, there will be no collision with the ground or other obstacle in the fall path.
WARNING! Ensure that a rescue plan is in place and that efficient and quick rescue can be carried out in case of a fall. Planning for the evacuation of persons that have fallen and that may remain
hanging from the harness must be done before starting work at heights.
WARNING! Equipment shall only be used by a person trained and competent in its safe use
WARNING! Equipment must not be used by a person with medical condition that could affect the safety of the equipment user in normal and emergency use.
WARNING! Equipment shall not be used outside its limitations, or purpose other than that for which it is intended.
WARNING! If this equipment is re-sold outside the country of destination, the re-seller of this equipment shall provide instructions for use, maintenance and periodic examination in the language of
the country in which the equipment is to be used.
WARNING! It is forbidden to use combinations of items of equipment in which the safe function of any one item is affected by or interferes the safe function of another.
WARNING! Anchor device or anchor point should always be positioned, and the work carried out in such a way, as to minimise both the potential for falls and potential fall distance. The anchor
device should be placed above the position of the user. The shape and construction of the anchor device/point shall not be allowed to self-acting disconnection of the equipment.
WARNING! No modifications allowed to be made on the equipment.
WARNING! Full body harness is the only accepted body holding device that can be used in fall arrest systems.
WARNING! It is essential for safety that equipment is withdrawn from use immediately should: 1) any doubt arise about its conditions for safe use or 2) it have been used to arrest to fall and not used
again until confirmed in writing by a competent person that it is acceptable to do so.

Use as anchor device EN 795:2012 Type B.

This anchor device must not be combined with other components which are non CE-marked as personal protective equipment. They must be in accordance with EN 362 only. If anchor device of type B is used in fall
arrest system, a shock absorber EN 355 shall be incorporated into the system, to reduce the dynamic shock resulted in a fall and shall not exceed the max forces of 6kN during fall. Two separate lanyards each with energy
absorber should not be used side by side (i.e. parallel). If lanyard is incorporated into twin tail lanyard, the free tail of a twin tail lanyard combined with energy absorber should not be clipped back on the harness. Any
intended direction of loading of the anchorage is allowed. Anchor device must be fixed with a great care to the surface condition, the sharp corners of the edge, assembly position, direction of the tension under load (to
avoid cutting forces) and the conditions of use. Anchor device is allowed to be used in choker hitch, can be several times laid around the structure to avoid slippage or can be used single overlapped. See Figures 1, 2 and
3. Anchor devise must not be knotted any other way, as knots sufficiently reduces the breaking strength of the device. Also the influence of ice can reduce the tensile strength. Maximum lowest temperature allowed for
use of this device is -30C (minus 30 degrees Celsius). Anchor device should only be used for personal fall protection equipment and not for lifting equipment. It is recommenced that the anchor device is marked with
date of the next and/or last inspection. The maximum load that sling will transfer to a structure is 12 kN. The minimum required resistance of the structure to be able to use this equipment is 15 kN (multi-usage of 2
persons).

Use as a lanyard EN 354:2010.

Lanyard can be connected with other elements only if they have CE-marking of personal protective equipment, like connectors according to EN 362, lanyards as per EN 354, shock absorbers as per EN 355 and harness with
EN 361and/or EN 358 and/or EN 813. If lanyard is used in fall arrester system, a shock absorber shall be incorporated into the system, to reduce the dynamic shock resulted in fall and shall not exceed the max forces
of 6kN during fall. When used in fall arrest system, a use of full body harness as to EN 361 is mandatory. This lanyard without shock absorber may only be used for work positioning and for restraint systems conforming
with EN 358. If there is a risk of lanyard to lay over sharp edges, then necessary precautions have to be taken to protect the lanyard. A slack lanyard should be avoided, it increases the fall distance.
The total maximum length of lanyard, including metal fittings and shock absorber pack, shall not exceed 2,0 m.
Use as anchor device CEN TS 16415 "type B" for multi-usage of several persons simultaneously
This standard certifies anchor devices that allow more than one user to be attached at the same time. If work at height requires at least two to four workers, TEXORA has tested this equipment for
several people. The equipment has been tested in this standard for a maximum of 2 persons.
Periodic Examination Method (at least every 12 months)
> A competent person must inspect and approve the PPE periodically.
> The method of periodic examination will be carried out by the following procedure:
1.- Inspect all COVER for damage, out threads, fraying or cuts.
2.- Check the label information.
3.- Check all the seams of your PPE.
The annual control will be mandatory. Also points 1, 2 and 3 should be examined before every use.
If 1, 2 and/or 3 is founded in the inspection before use, you must retire the equipment.
It is recommenced that the anchor device is marked with date of the next and/or last inspection.
In addition to the inspection requirements set forth in the manufacturer's user instructions, inspect equipment at each inspection level described in 6.1.1 for: - absence or illegibility of markings or tags /
absence of any elements affecting the equipment form, fit or function; evidence of defects in or damage to hardware elements including cracks, sharp edges, deformation, corrosion, chemical attack,
excessive heating, alteration and excessive wear evidence of defects in or damage to straps, wire rope or ropes including fraying, crushing, unsplicing, unlaying, kinking, knotting, roping, broken or
pulled stitches, broken or pulled wires or multiple broken wires, excessive elongation, chemical attack, excessive soiling, abrasion, alteration, needed or excessive lubrication, excessive aging and
excessive wear; alteration, absence of parts, or evidence of defects in, damage to or improper function of mechanical devices and connectors; any other condition that calls to question the suitability of
the equipment for its intended purpose.
Warning!! Remove any surface contamination that could accelerate the cutting or abrading of attached components.
If the equipment's inspection or maintenance date has passed, attach a label indicating that the equipment must not be used until the inspection has been done.

Important recommendations

-Visual examination required before each use: stitching, webbing. Everything should be in perfect state.
-It is strictly recommended to have a personal attribution of this equipment to one user.
-Protect the equipment from all unwanted damages and risk.
-Eventual repair, modification or additions to this PPE have to be done exclusively by the manufacturer.
-During the utilization the equipment should be protected against sharp objects, welding discharges, projections, heat sources and chemical aggressions.
-General notes of utilization of protective items in particular regarding the training of the user should be observed. The equipment must be discarded if it has: numerous broken threads, cut edges, discolored webbing,
heavily worn or if it is not capable of functioning and has missing markings.
-The expected life of the equipment is seven (7) years from the date of first use, provided all instructions of use, maintenance, storage have been followed and all controls have been carried out.
-Before each use ensure about the compatibility of items of equipment assembled into fall arrest system.
