Setting Preferences for
Your Organizer
The Preferences screens enable you to customize the configuration
options on your organizer.
In the Preferences screens, you can do the following:
Buttons
Digitizer
Formats
General
Modem
Network
Owner
ShortCuts
Wireless

Assign different applications to the buttons on
the front panel of your organizer and the
HotSync
button on the cradle; identify an

application to open whenever you raise the
antenna; reassign the full-screen pen stroke
command.
Calibrate the screen on your organizer.
Set the country default and the formats for dates,
times, calendar, and numbers.
Set the current date and time, the auto shut-off
interval, the Beam Receive feature, and the
system, alarm, and game sounds.
Configure your organizer for use with a modem.
Configure your organizer for use with a network.
Assign your name, phone number, and other
owner information to your organizer.
Define a list of Graffiti
View your Palm.Net™ address; change the proxy
server IP address; and receive a warning when a
wireless transaction is about to transmit your
identification or location.
