Preparations for diagnosis
Detach the 1394 Assy with the flexible cables (FFCs) connected, as shown in the photos below, then make a diagnosis.
[Procedures]

Remove the bonnet, referring to "7.1.10 DISASSEMBLY."

Remove the HDMI shield, first removing the three screws.

Remove the two screws that secure the 1394 connector to the rear panel.

Remove the rivet that secures the 1394 Assy.

Remove the 1394 Assy.

Connect a cable between the 1394 connector and the chassis.
7
Connect the source equipment (DVD player), using an iLink cable.
