- Page 2 Replacing the filter require to open the fuel circuit of the FCS-D system. Therefore we suggest to change the fuel filter any time, when the FCS-D system is drained. At the same time a function test of the FCS-D system is due to be executed.
- Page 3 Fuel Filter change on flowtronic FCS-D Required Tool A special tool is required for the fuel filter replacement. This is a common tool for changing fuel - / oil filters. Upon request it can be ordered from GREGORY Technology GmbH. Please get familiar with this tool before starting to work with it according to the next stop.
- Page 4 Fuel Filter change on flowtronic FCS-D Location of the Fuel Filter The filter is located at the front side of the flowtronic FCS-D housing. For the following task please place the system on a robust working desk and have cleaning cloth available in case of any leaking fuel.
- Page 5 Fuel Filter change on flowtronic FCS-D Step 2 After having removed the old filter the seal seats can be checked and whipped off by using a cleaning cloth. Please take care of any dama- ges in the area of the sealing seats that may lead to leaking.
- Page 6 Fuel Filter change on flowtronic FCS-D Mounting Step 1 Put the new filter on to the filter fitting and turn it carefully in clockwise direc- tion (clockwise thread). Make sure that you turn the filter in vertical direc- tion (and not aslope) on the thread and that you do not use to much force.
- Page 7 Afterwards the complete fuel system has to be ventilated according to the car / engine manufacture´s specefication. Please Note: Even during storage the FCS-D system has to be filled with fuel. Please pay attention to any leakage close to the retrofitted filter and / or fuel tubes connected.
