Xatellite IoT offers bi-directional way to transmit I/O data between Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. The below is a typical deployment for Xatellite IoT as the Modbus Gateway. That is a TCP-client (or server) which acts as a RTU-master to get data from Modbus RTU-slave devices.
Page 21
Before setting up the gateway, Xatellite IoT provides you an open-source Modbus tool, called “mbpoll”. You could login to Web console (or ssh), under the command line: mbpoll -a 1 -b 19200 -P none -l 2000 -t 4 -r 4112 -c 2 /dev/ttyS1...
Page 22
1. Please go to “Service → RS485/Modbus”, You could enable the gateway accordingly. For example, connecting to an Electromagnetic flow meter: Serial Device: /dev/ttyS1 Baud rate: 9600 Parity: NONE Stop bits: CAUTION: You might switch ON or OFF the integrated termination resistor (120Ω)
PublicKey = <Xatellite-IoT-publicley> AllowedIPs= 10.0.0.2/32 WireGuard VPN can be used in Remote Management of Xatellite IoT. The Xatellite IoT will establish a WireGuard VPN connection to the WireGuard server spontaneously when it starts. User can manipulate the configuration of Xatellite IoT remotely once the tunnel is established.
