R50 Operating Instructions

① R50 Power on/off

To Power on : Press the Power button ( ) on the back of R50 speaker and hold for 2sec.
Release power button after R50 speaker emits a tone and the blue LED has come on.
To Power off : Press the power button ( ) on the back of R50 speaker and hold for 3sec.
The R50 speaker power will turn off after a beep has sounded.

② Bluetooth Pairing

R50 speaker must be turned off before pairing commences.
To continue, press the power button ( ) and hold for 6sec. The R50 speaker power will turn
on and it will enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The blue LED light will blink quickly to show the
speaker is discoverable.
On your device, turn Bluetooth on, locate the Bluetooth device list, and select the device
named "JSD R50".
When pairing is complete and your device is connected to the speaker, the Bluetooth pairing
indicator on the speaker changes from blinking blue to continuous blue and R50 speaker will
emit a beep.
Reconnecting a device automatically
When a previously paired device is next turned on, the R50 will attempt to reconnect to the
last connected device (the R50 speaker can remember up to eight paired devices).
It automatically starts with the most recently used and continues until connection is achieved.

  • Page 4 To charge the R50 battery, connect R50 to Micro-USB cable. Connect to the back of the R50 USB port the AC power adapter with the Micro-USB cable that comes with the R50 product. Recommended charging time is three (3) hours to fully charge the battery.
