Questions and answers
how to set up with compressor of water chiller with 3 wire RTD wit upper and lower temperature imits
To set up the Sub-Zero SZ-7081 water chiller compressor with a 3-wire RTD and configure the upper and lower temperature limits:
1. Wiring the RTD Sensor:
- Connect the 3-wire RTD sensor to terminals 1, 2, and 3 as per the wiring diagram.
- Ensure the wiring is not in the same conduit as power lines to avoid interference.
2. Power Supply:
- Connect the power supply (230V) to the designated terminals.
- Use a protection switch and wires up to 1.5 sq mm.
3. Installing the Controller:
- Mount the unit in a vibration-free, dry area without corrosive gases.
- Apply silicon sealant or use a rubber O-ring around the panel cutout for IP65 protection.
4. Setting Temperature Limits:
- Lower Limit:
- Use UP/DOWN keys to select the minimum set point (e.g., 0°C).
- Press the SET key to store the value.
- Upper Limit:
- Use UP/DOWN keys to set the maximum temperature (e.g., 60.0°C).
- Press SET to confirm. If the temperature goes above this, the display shows “Ht” (High Temp).
5. Compressor Protection:
- Set a time delay (e.g., 3 minutes) to prevent short-cycle restarting of the compressor.
Make sure all settings are stored by pressing the SET key after each adjustment.
