    General information The Rubicon Online Energy Analyser and Logger is used to measure and monitor single phase and three phase loads. The monitoring interface is the Smappee monitoring platform which makes for easy setup and online monitoring. The device is ideal for sizing Photo Voltaic systems, initial power quality studies and fault finding.

    Setup Procedure The setup procedure is relatively simple and can be done by almost any qualified electrician or engineer. Please ensure that local safety regulations are met when installing the meter. The device can be set up in two ways •...
  • Page 5 Connecting the measurement probes to the analyser is shown below. The three Rogowski coils are connected to the CT Hub (L1 = A, L2 = B, L3 = C). The CT hub is connected using the grey plug point as shown below. The voltage clamps are connected to the indicated L1, L2, L3 and N plugs.
  • Page 6 Configuring the unit via Wi-Fi The unit can be configured using the inbuilt Wi-Fi functionality. The first step is to reset the unit via the reset pin. This can be done by sticking in a small wire into the reset hole and pressing and holding the button for at least 45 seconds.

    Load configuration It is now important to configure the loads on the device. The first step is to define the loads under the app settings, your Smappee monitors and load configuration. This can be seen by going into live metering on the home screen. The following display should show. Please note the polarity of the loads, as this will indicate if the CTs are installed in the correct orientation.
