CUTTING GRASS Move slowly and cut from right to left and vice versa over an area approximately 1.5 metres wide. As you progress, always make sure you are standing in a stable position on both feet. • Page 38 Section 6 USING THE MACHINE BUSHCUTTING OR PRUNING Install the disk saw together with the EC approved safety guard. Accelerate to maximum rpm to give the saw maximum cutting capacity and prevent it from jamming or stopping, which may cause the blade to rebound (kick-back effect). This effect can make you lose control of the machine and to lose your balance, with a possible risk of injury.
  • Page 39: After Using The Machine

Section 6 USING THE MACHINE • Trunks of more than 7 cm in diameter can be also cut with the high-power brushcutter, but this should only be carried out occasionally because a power saw is more appropriate for this type of work. Whenever possible, try to avoid even very small stones, lumps of earth, small pieces of wood and anything else that could be hidden or barely visible in the grass.
