    ABOUT THIS GUIDE This guide provides all the information needed to install and use the Enable-IT 5 Mile 150Mbps WiFi Bridge. This guide is intended for use by technicians who are responsible for installing and setting up network equipment. Consequently, it is assumed that the installer has a basic working knowledge of LANs (Local Area Networks) and voice telecom wiring.

    150M NSTALLING THE RIDGE Thank you for purchasing the 5 Mile 150Mbps Bridge Kit! Using this device you will be able to bridge LAN connections up to 150Mbps. This point to point kit will also act as a non-routing LAN extension or as a NAT-enabled gateway linking two locations by means of the IEEE 802.11N wireless frequency.

Enter the MAC Address of the secondary 8450 (12- digit alphanumeric code located on the top of the 8450 product box) into the first WDS Peers field.
  • Page 15 8450 A ONFIGURING THE CCESS POINT Follow the same instructions as the previous 8450 explained on page 10. Select the “Wireless” tab and change the “Wireless Mode” to “Station WDS.” Enter the MAC Address of the primary 8450 (1 unit configured) into the “Lock to AP MAC” field.
  • Page 16 8450 A ONFIGURING THE CCESS POINT Select “Change” in the lower right hand corner and then “Apply” at the upper right hand corner. Your 8450 Access Point devices are now configured as a point to point bridge. Antennae can now be connected to the integrated N-Type connector and the system can be deployed. The connection diagram at the beginning of this manual displays the correct cabling connections for integration into an existing network or LAN.

    ROUBLESHOOTING Most connection issues can be attributed to incorrect MAC address entry. If you are unable to gain network access of if the bridge is not functioning correctly, double check the MAC address entries against the WLAN MAC addresses listed on the Main Tab of each of the 8450’s configuration page.
