INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ROOF-MOUNTED POWER VENTS
MODELS: VXNRG, VXSVR, VXVIP, VX2414, VX1000, CX3000, CX4000, CX2001, CX1000
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY TO PERSONS, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Do not attempt to use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
2. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufacturer. If you have any questions, contact
the manufacturer.
3. Before servicing or cleaning this unit, switch the power o at the service panel and lock out to
prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When service disconnecting means cannot be
locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
4. Su cient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gasses through the ue (chimney)
of fuel burning equipment to prevent back drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer's
guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association
(NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE), and local code authorities.
5. Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by quali ed person(s) in accordance with all
applicable codes and standards, including re-rated construction.
6. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.

2. This is an automatically operated device and is intended for use with fan facing unoccupied space
only!
3. This unit has an unguarded impeller. Do not use in locations readily accessible to people or animals.
