Please read this section before operating this unit. For Household Use Only. Confirm that your tank has not been damaged during shipment before you start the setup process. Completely set up the aquarium before plugging your unit into an electrical outlet. To avoid your plug or electrical outlet becoming wet it is best to form a drip loop in your cord as shown. Use of a GFCI rated outlet or circuit is recommended.
People of all ages enjoy looking at aquariums. Aside from the belief that an aquarium is beautiful, many also believe owning an aquarium can be relaxing, rewarding and a great conversation piece all at the same time. You will find you will have many enjoyable hours with your new aquarium and fish.
Items Included in your Aquarium Kit
Insert the Mini Filter into the top of hood, positioning the filter so it is completely seated. Rinse filter cartridge under running tap water and insert filter cartridge into cartridge compartment. Place the power filter's connecting cord in the groove routing it to the back of the hood. Insert the barrel plug into the receptacle port at the back of the hood.
Position the hood on top of the tank and confirm it is fully seated.

Places to avoid
Rinse aquarium, filter, stones, plastic plants, and other decorations under running tap water. Place gravel in a colander or new bucket and rinse under running tap water until water runs clear. Never clean aquarium, decorations, or filter with household soaps as they can harm your fish.

Fill the aquarium with water to within one inch of the top of the tank. Do not overfill since spillage may occur. For the filter to function properly it is important the filter is always submerged to the recommended water-line mark found on the side of the filter.
Treat the water with a water conditioner to remove chlorine and chloramines from tap water that can be harmful to your fish. Allow time for the water in your aquarium to reach room temperature.
Insert the Power Adaptor's barrel plug into the receptacle port located on top of the hood at the back as shown below.
To turn the filter on, Insert the connector plug at the end of the filter power cord into the appropriate port on the back of the hood.
To turn the filter off, remove the connector plug from the port.
To turn on/off LED light press the blue button on the top of the Lid. To select desired light color repeatedly press the blue button until color selection is located.
The LED light has 7 dazzling colors to choose from: Amber, Aqua, Blue, Green, Purple, Red and White plus 4 additional color combinations along with transitioning fade-in and fade-out selections.
Change the filter cartridge every three to four weeks depending on number of fish in your tank and amount of daily feedings or when heavily soiled.
