I have a gs series galena filter system and forget the expiation of the back wash procedure. I know how to turn the top tank valve but what place do I use for the in/out valve. Open for inlet or open for filter system

1. Ensure the solvent cement is dry and settled before turning on the water. 2. Position the valves on item #1 to the “BACKWASH” position as illustrated in Figure 5. 3. Confirm that there is salt in the brine tank. 4. Press the backwash button on the electric valve 5000SE. 5. Ensure that water flows out of the polyethylene drain.
