Last year I bought an Airgjob Dehumidifier Model D026DJ-50PT. It worked fine all summer in my basement. I just hooked it up for the coming summer, I turned it on, set it for 45% humidity and the humidifier gauge shows 68% humidity. It's been running for 24 hours and has not reduced the humidity at all and there's no water in the bucket. The basement temp. is about 60+F. Please advise.

If the AIRGJOB Dehumidifier Model D026DJ-50PT is not reducing humidity after 24 hours, possible issues include:

- Humidity control not set low enough.
- Not enough time to remove moisture.
- Curtains, blinds, or furniture blocking airflow.
- Doors or windows not securely closed.
- Room temperature below 5°C (41°F).
- Presence of a water vapor source in the room.
- Dirty air filter.
- Unit not upright or placed on an uneven floor.

Check and correct these conditions to improve performance.

Ice forms on the filter and tubes of the AIRGJOB D026DJ-50PT due to frost appearing on the coils. This is normal and the unit has an Auto Defrost feature to handle it.

If the fan is blowing, the filter is clean, and the humidity setting is 50 but the display shows 62 and rising with no water collecting, the possible problem could be:

- The dehumidifier is not removing moisture due to low room temperature (below 5°C or 41°F).
- The compressor is not starting due to a failure or the unit is in the protective 3-minute delay.
- The humidity sensor may be malfunctioning (error code "EH").
- The unit may be damaged or the refrigerant system is not functioning.

Check for any error codes and ensure the room temperature is above 5°C. If none apply, the unit may require repair.
