    Before you start TTBPP52 Unpacking 1. Unpack all parts and lay them on a flat, stable surface. 2. Remove all packing materials and protective shipping materials, if applicable. 3. Make sure the delivery contents are complete and free of any damage. If you find that parts are missing or show damage do not use the machine and contact your dealer.
  • Page 17 Before you start TTBPP52 Assembly WARNING! The machine must be fully assembled before operation! Do not use a machine that is only partly assembled or assembled with damaged parts! Follow the assembly instructions step-by-step and use the pictures provided as a visual guide to assemble the machine easily! Disconnect the spark plug connector before assembly! Reconnect it after assembly (see "Maintenance").
  • Page 18 Before you start TTBPP52 2. Align the recess on the blower tube (10) with the stud on the extension tube (9). Push and twist the blower tube (10) until the stud goes into the end of the recess. Tighten the screw on the blower tube (10) using the screwdriver (26) (Fig. 2).

  • Page 21 Before you start TTBPP52 1. Place the machine on a stable, level surface with the fuel tank cap (24) facing upwards. We recommend laying a non-flammable sheet under the machine. 2. Pour a regular-grade unleaded petrol and a quality engine oil for air cooled 2-stroke engines in the supplied fuel mixing container (28) respectively via the 2 openings.
  • Page 22 Before you start / Quick start TTBPP52 NOTE: Fuel and oil deteriorate over time. It may be difficult to start the engine if you use fuel which has been kept for more than 30 days. Towards the end of the season, it is advisable to put only as much fuel in the tank as you need for each use, since it should be completely used up before storing the machine.

Never operate the machine while carrying it by the handle on the back plate (2). Always turn the machine off and wait until the engine stops completely before taking off the harness (1).

Do not point the tube in the direction of people or pets. WARNING! Always set the stop lever to the STOP position and let the motor come to a complete stop.

After use NOTE: After a long period of full speed operation, allow the engine to run for a while at idle speed so that the heat in the engine can dissipate by a flow of cooling air.

    Care and maintenance TTBPP52 The golden rules for care WARNING! Always stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug connector and let the machine cool before performing inspection, maintenance and cleaning work. DANGER! Proper maintenance is essential for safe and trouble free operation.
  • Page 32 Care and maintenance TTBPP52 Removing blockages WARNING! Wear safety gloves when removing blockages! Use proper tools to remove debris, e.g. a wooden stick! Never use bare hands! Ensure the engine is off by setting the setting/stop lever (7) to STOP position before disconnecting the hose or tubes for any maintenance or for removing blockage.
  • Page 33 Care and maintenance TTBPP52 Air filter Inspect the air filter regularly. Clean or replace it with a new one if necessary. 1. Unscrew the fixing nut on the cover of the air filter case (21). Remove the cover (Fig. 18).
  • Page 34 Care and maintenance TTBPP52 Spark plug NOTE: For good performance, the spark plug must be properly gapped and free of deposits. Inspect the spark plug every 25 hours or before long-term storage over 30 days. Clean or replace with a new one if necessary (type: RCJ7Y/ L7RTC/ L8RTF/ BPMR7A).
  • Page 35 Care and maintenance TTBPP52 1. Release the throttle trigger (8) and allow the engine to idle. 2. Turn the idle speed screw clockwise using a screwdriver (26) to increase engine speed if engine stalls or dies in idle mode (Fig. 20).
  • Page 36 Care and maintenance TTBPP52 Muffler The muffler (18) attenuates exhaust noises and diverts exhaust gases away from the operator. Check the spark arrestor screen on the muffler (18) for damages or debris regularly. If it is necessary to clean, modify or replace the muffler (18), contact an authorised service centre or a similarly qualified person.
