FOR 2000 SERIES WITH QUANTUM AND 2100 - 9100 SERIES
THIS KIT MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN
NOTE: If possible, record the Configuration settings before removing
the existing processor control board. This will aid in the
installation of the new processor control board. Reference the
Configuration Menu on Pages 7-8.
1. De-energize the Steffes heating system.
2. Remove the electrical panel cover (painted front panel on 2000 Series
with Quantum and 2100 Series).
3. Disconnect the wiring harness(es) located at the bottom of the board.
4. Disconnect the interface cable (RJ45 connection).
5. 2000 w/Quantum/2100/3100/4100/5100/E5100 Series Systems Only: Remove the thermocouple wiring
(brick core sensor and discharge air on 2100 Series) from the 4-position terminal block on the existing
processor control board.
NOTE: It is extremely important to note the position of any
wires in these locations as they are critical to
system operation and are polarity sensitive.
6. Remove the existing board from the mounting bracket.
7. Mount the new processor control board on the existing bracket.
NOTE: Position nylon washer as shown in Figure 1.
8. Connect the wiring harness(es) and interface cable in the proper
positions.
9. Reconnect the thermocouple wiring (brick core sensor wires and
discharge air on 2100 Series).
NOTE: The thermocouple wires MUST be positioned correctly to ensure proper operation of the
system. See Owner's/Installer's Manual, low voltage wiring diagram, for more information.
10. Re-install the electrical panel cover or painted front cover.
